Explanation of the Exam
This scan produces cross-sectional x-ray images of the arms or legs. It is used to diagnose injury or other pathology of bone, joints, or soft tissues.

Approximate Exam Time
15-30 minutes

Preparation Instructions
The physician may request X-ray, MRI, or CT films from previous exams performed on the same body region. Please discuss with your physician who is responsible for obtaining the films prior to the date of your exam. Please arrive at 15 minutes prior to your appointment. Please inform the staff if there is any possibility of PREGNANCY or history of contrast allergy at the time of scheduling your appointment.
